You could add patches of sound dampening mats inside of the panels so they don't rattle as much. Knowing if adds weight I wouldn't say to fully cover the panels but small strips should help a lot. Another option would be to add some rubber washers/o-rings between the panels and the tabs

Lets call it what it is. Its a homemade SXS as much work as you've put into it, get it powder coated instead of spray painting it.

It was inspired by a trophy truck so that's what you should call it if you want. Plus your build is better than a trophy truck, you don't have to worry about tearing up a fibreglass body on tight trails, and it still looks just as cool. Can't wait to see how well it performs and what else you do to finish it off.

Have you cooked the bearings on the motor when welding frame with motor earthed.

replace that chain with belt you would lose noise

Looks like a rock crawler but with less cage.. but fits the bill for those whole skeleton crawlers.. add some good sliders on it, put in a double low gearbox and some winches on it and under lighting then youd have you a crawler.. get some bigger tires with weights inside and make the center of gravity the actual center and you could compete with the best of the best.. some of those guys are crazier than hell hitting vertical climbs at full ketchup then rolling end over end 15 times and never letting off the gas just go right back at it..

i think is better if you try half turn fasteners for the aluminum panels. quicker to remove and install when ever you have to remove them

Put some shorty fenders on the front wheels control the spray of mud into your face your side panels will help but not enough.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this or not Chris but have you thought about putting any of the siding on the top to make it look a little more like a cockpit of a truck. Just a thought. It looks great as it is though. Can't wait until paint it.

I do like your kind of nonchalant, easy going, way of presenting, even though you must get very frustrated sometimes. But as so many have said, your skills are second to none. I would go with a canvass top. Can easily remove and store it. Will help with sun beating strait down in summer; also cut down on incoming mud from the sky. Painters canvass drop cloth + some grommets = WIN.

Dude !!! I’m 53 and have just started building stuff , i bought a lathe , milling machine , press brake , tubing bender hydraulic and manual , drill press , i need the plasma 3d printer thing . I absolutely love all your videos and i think you are one of the best fabricators around !! To be so young and so talented!! I also have a huge mig welder and a tig welder . I’m learning on my own and hopefully i can teach myself. I’m a master plumber so I’m pretty mechanically inclined . Dude that trophy truck is unreal !!

This looks amazing, been watching your videos for years now and I love them and love to see the work your great working skills, looks like you need a bigger shed or maybe an actual garage building with a lift, I know it'll make my like easier having one and yours too.

Add a louvered shield above the radiator fans to stop mud clods from smashing the fans, give it four or five inches of space so as not to block hot air from getting out.

Looks really cool! Paint it grey, and clear coat the panels, and I think that would look good. Window nets would be cool and protect you from branches coming in the side windows. Plexiglas windshield?
